SUP pup Stand up paddle boarding originated in Hawaii, with a slow start in becoming popular now Sup has exploded on the water in all countries.  Back in the 60’s it was referred to as “Beach Boy Surfing”. Flat water paddling, racing or SUP surfing, the choices are vast. You can even enjoy a Yoga SUP if you want to test your balance. From flat water cruising to the exhilaration of catching a wave in the best surf breaks. Most participants have a sense of calm when paddling a board and really feel the sense of getting back to nature.

Women particularly find this sport rewarding and rejuvenating mostly due to the fact that you can achieve a thorough core workout. The calmness and tranquility is apparent no matter where you choose to paddle. Once balance is conquered it is all about acquiring the work out you choose to reach. It is easy to learn, fun and safe for all the family.

SUPing is fun, calming, tranquil, grounding, peaceful, exhilarating, exercise, laughter, wonder, exciting, friendly, social, positive, creative, powerful, rejuvenating

Go Vertical SUP hire was my first attempt at stand up paddle boarding and what a hoot we had on the Broadwater. It’s a fun and invigorating way to exercise with lots of laughs along the way. Linda is amazingly patient and so passionate about the sport you can’t help having a great time! After our first day out on the water exploring this great new sport, I hired Go Vertical for our team building day in December for the staff to see if they were as balanced as they said they were… What a fantastic day everyone had. “Thanks for a great challenge Linda” Way to go…GO VERTICAL- Meg Lindley, Labrador.
